Rules And Guidelines of Image of the Invisible: Support The Invisible Children.
-Please note that this IS a Holocaust we are talking about. It is sickening, tear-jerking, painful to grasp, but it is. Therefore, if you are under thriteen, I advise you to think before you watch the documentary. Maybe even get permission from your parents. There are some sexual references because that is a part of the problem in Africa. There will be violence that your mind cannot grasp until you actually see it. These people might as well be in concentration camps with the way they've been treated. If you don't think your parents would want you to understand that yet, then don't watch it;; just read the briefing and you should understand the war and what started it.
-You must be on topic. I don't want people coming here to mouth off or for any other reason than the cause we share. We are here to make a difference. If you think that's funny, you can get the hell out right now. If you mouth off too anyone, especially staff, we won't hesitate to ban you. It would be apparent that you aren't here for the right reasons, anyway.
-Be polite and courteous. What someone thinks is a good idea might sound stupid to you, and vice versa, but remember we're all working together for the same thing. Voice your opinion, but accept someone else's without getting heated.
-You can cuss a bit, as it is a rather enfuriating situation, but don't swear in every line of every post you make. It's okay to call the LRA and Kony retarded f**ks every once in a while, but we can't be negative all the time; not when we're trying to make something positive happen.
-You can advertise your website in your signature if you want to, but if I hear you're PMing people and trying to advertise your site that way, either I'll ban you temporarily, remove your affie/ad from the ad board permanently, or both, depending on how annyoning you were. XP We have an ad board for adverts, people.
-I'm asking everyone to watch the documentary if they join. True, I won't know if you watch it or not, but I think you should. Why? Because that's the whole reason we're here;; to help the kids in that video. It wouldn't hurt to take some of your time and think of someone else. I think it would open your eyes;; this documentary is both an awakening and a call to arms. It would help you understand the extent of the turmoil in Africa.
-Don't join this site if you aren't going to make an effort. Discussion is good, sure, but here, we are more than just dreamers. We're doers. So do something; act on your ideas. Go to an event that helps the children in Africa. Do something.
